We host Shred Days twice-a-year. The events are held in November and April. Our next event is April 22, 2025 from 9 to noon at the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce parking lot. The event is free to the community. Donations to ABC are most welcome! Thank you Security Shredding for being our favorite shredder!

Mark your calendars! We'll join Lufkin's Recycling Center to host our annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on March 1, 2025 from 9 a.m. to noon. Event address is 500 Southpark Drive in Lufkin.

Thank you Sterling and Texas A&M Forest Service! They sponsor our annual seedling giveaway. Our next giveaway will be held Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 from 9 to noon. The following varieties of seedlings will be available: Cherrybark Oak, Bald Cypress, Nuttall Oak, Pecan, Shumard Oak and Sawtooth Oak.

On Oct. 18, 2025 we will partner with the City of Lufkin to host an annual county-wide tire collection day. Last year, the event collected 1,000 tires.

Texas State Forest Festival
ABC partners with the Texas Forestry Museum each September to host the Children's Festival at the Texas State Forest Festival. The Texas State Forest Festival will be held Sept. 18-21, 2025. ABC's theme will be "Enchanted Forest."
